We are extremely lucky to have two such high visibilty and nationally respected patrons, both experts in their fields and with a wealth of environmental knowledge.

Pauline Kidner , founder of Secret World Wildlife Rescue, specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and the eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. It is run entirely on donations and runs the only 24 hours wildlife rescue service in the South West of England.

Each year approximately 3,000 wild animals are cared for by Secret World Wildlife Rescue. Together with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, they continue to care for all manner of creatures, from the tiniest harvest mice and bats to badgers, swans, foxes, deer and of course otters.

Chris Packham , television presenter, photographer and author with a passionate concern for conservation and the environment. He has travelled the world in pursuit of all the things that slime, sting and scratch, but Sholing remains close to his heart. Starting locally he spent many happy hours rummaging around Millers Pond and the Sholing Valleys fuelling the beginning of his passions and future career.
